I found Liam to be a perfect example of blind hubris today. I thought he was disgusting. His record of fidelity is so bad that one cannot help but laugh at his outrage. The way he baited Hope and played games was despicable.

This is the woman Liam claims to love. Why not just simply tell Hope what happened, how he feels and ask her how things came to this? The answer is because he doesn't want to even know. He was judge and jury about what Hope did and it, to him, is unforgivable. Yet he has been forgiven so many times I can't name them all.

And to be fair we have no clue really about Hope's mindset and how all this came about. We saw daydreams. We saw admiration. We saw great success in Rome and the relief and jubilation that brought but was has Hope been thinking this whole time leading up to the impulsive kisses? To me it is half a story without that.

And finally I know that Bell's two waffles are never, ever to be truly called out for their behavior. On this show when things go wrong it's always the woman's fault. If the men do terrible things it is glossed over and forgiven, sometimes without even mentioning how horrible what they did really was.

Just toady, we saw that teen-wannabe ripping Brooke to shreds when she spent a year bad-mouthing, set up Brooke, spied on Brooke, used her children to guilt Ridge and chased him mercilessly and then slept with a MARRIED man with nary a regret. But Brooke is the devil. She wants Ridge to be happy but only if he chooses to be happy with her. She is still trying to be the pink of perfection with excrement smeared all over her deeds. What a devil she really is. But...there was not one single word about Ridge's part in all the "mistakes" in Bridge's past-not one.

I often wonder who this narrative appeals to. We get towering romance and heart-stopping views overlaid with words of everlasting love and then we see this same guy letting this piece of rejected trash dump all over the woman he just told her he is going to be with. Some prize. Not and neither is Liam.

Well Bridge never does last long
