It's a total character assassination IMO. Hope had 12 long years to fall for this creep, yet NOTHING. So now I'm suppose to buy that she's falling for an abusive monster who did Beth, her, and Liam evil? What a loap of crap!

Not the narrative Bell is telling IMHO... at all! Hope dated him a couple of times and married him, she always had some sorts of feelings for him or she would have NEVER considered dating and marriage! You can love someone and not be sexually attracted to him, this is what was lacking until last year! The feelings were always there but the physical attraction wasn't! Now she is seeing a new version of Thomas and she loves what she is seeing!
Her "repressed" feelings are resurfacing! (my interpretation and 2 other "SOD previews" from recent weeks mentionned it, so I don't think I'm off)

Exactly. The exact quote in Soap Opera Digest was : "Perhaps those feelings that she has repressed start to come out sideways, in ways she cannot anticipate nor control."

There was another short article mentionning "old feelings coming to the surface". It's not a senseless theory when even the soap magazines and actors talk about it.
