Why drag steffy into this Hope drama?

Steffy dragged herself into this drama...by deciding that Hope had to accept Tom back as her designer, no matter what.
She practically forced Hope to either take Tom back or lose her line. And now she is watching her like a hawk and always telling her not to dare derail her poor little brother.
Steffy feels totally at home in this drama situation.

Exactly. There was no reason for her to go see Liam at FC. She had Finn at home, making her dinner and wanting to spend time with her, and what does she do? She goes to see her sweet ex husband.

The truth is, Sinn have no story outside of Sheila, and since the Sheila story is in a holding pattern, there is nothing for Finn and Steffy to do, except make out. We had an episode last week where making out was literally all they did the entire episode, except for when they were talking about Hope and Liam.
