Possible evidence of a re-write

That's not really evidence of anything. That is from Dec. DD said all along he had no idea where it was going, and he had to create a story in order to play it on screen. He wasn't lying, but it also doesn't mean the story was rewritten. He just wasn't told what was going to happen.

I am not sure what the obsession with whether it was a rewrite or not is. A writer writes a story and has a plan, and as it started to air, if you see something is not working, you fix it. That is what you want writers to do.

There are also tons of production reasons you have to shift a story. For example, DD just renewed his contract. Maybe he thought he might be leaving, and they were waiting on that to decide where to take the story.

In this case, I hope it's not a rewrite because if this is what they came up with to make it better, what in the world did they have planned to begin with? In a rewrite, you would think you would take the time to make sure all of the plot holes are filled.

I think Bell plans a story out, and he knows where it starts and where he wants it to end, and he comes up with the rest as he goes. Bill was always acting strange, and the vibe between him and Sheila was never right. They are both veteran actors. I believe if they had wanted a love story, they could have sold it.
