Grounds for an annulment in California

Which one of these does Ridge plan to use? A quickie divorce makes more sense than an annulment.

Underage spouse

Bigamy

Fraud and deception

Threatening and forcing a person to marry

Insanity

Inability to consummate the marriage

Incest

Insanity -- his children drove him insane about leaving Brooke.

The writers are amazing with this annulment thing. They have been using it with Liam and Steffy, too. I don't expect a soap to be realistic all the time, but I do expect it to follow the laws it sets up. If they want a quickie divorce, Eric went to the Dominican Republic - or some island - to divorce Stephanie. Why can't they just do that? When Bill wanted to divorce Katie, he used his residence in Nevada. I wish they'd stop being lazy about it and find REAL life ways to get the divorce done outside of CA. Or just go ahead and have a six months waiting period. Make it two months long. I mean, they don't gestate a baby for a real 9 months. So I'm fine if the 6 months period is only two months or three. smh. They just act like they have no ways to make things work without using STUPID plot points.

Is Eric even divorced? Or is he waiting 6 months? We don't even know. If they knew they want to rush a Bridge divorce so he could marry Taylor, they should have had him divorce brooke back in the spring. I don't get why they didn't. The whole thing is just stupid.
