Not romantic at all. Ridge was there not because of his pine cone but because he thinks Brooke called CPS and he can't live with that, so he is throwing her to the wolves and heading to his always #2.

Taylor knows that so why is she sucuumbing now?.

And Brooke chasing after both of them. Thee people all need a couch in some doctor's office.

Right and if she can't keep her own resolve to say No, why would she think he can keep his resolve to say yes? And it doesn't bother him one bit to have his Brooke and Taylor, too, so Taylor will probably have to walk away again once he does enough to make her see that his head will always be turned in Brooke's direction.

OR, Better yet....send them to the backburner because they have no story without Brooke.
