I was speaking about the writers choosing to go this route. Brooke is totally unsympathetic but yet she's supposed to be Thomas's victim of sorts? It just doesn't make sense.

Makes perfect sense to me because Thomas hasn't changed at all. Just recently, he conspired with evil Sheila and kept her secret no different than when he kept the Beth is alive secret.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
