Taylor is not responsible for Steffy's actions. Steffy is responsible for Steffy's actions.

But Taylor is the main reason why Steffy is acting this way. Steffy is doing this for Taylor even more than for Ridge, because Taylor has openly expressed that she could never be happy with any other man but Ridge. If Taylor was telling Steffy that she doesn't want to be the reason for the end of a marriage and that she doesn't want Ridge back if he only chooses her because he's being pressured by their kids, then MAYBE there would be a small chance that Steffy would listen to her mom, while she would never listen to Brooke. And she wouldn't even listen to her dad because she would think that Brooke has him under her spell again, which would be even more reason for her to try and "free" him.
