Let's face it - Brooke knows Steffy won't listen to anything she says (or for the most part, anything anyone says when she sets her sites on something). There's no value in speaking to Steffy - in fact it would give her the satisfaction of knowing that she's getting to Brooke.

Brooke was smart to go to Taylor. She knows that if Taylor really wanted to do the right thing, she could put her foot down with Steffy and make her stop. Instead, she just giggles like a teenager, hangs on Ridge, and mildly rebukes Steffy like she's not committed to it (because she's not, of course).

Of course, going to Taylor is not likely to get much action either, but it's still a better shot at having an impact that talking to "Talk to the hand" / "My way or no way" Steffy.
