Did Steffy really just say Taylor would never ever cheat?

Taylor scewed James when she was unseparated and Ridge wasn't presumed dead, and she kept the secret for years. Later she also deceived him with Thorne and cheated with Hector when TRIDGE were very married and not separated.
That cabin kiss is the only time Brooke consciously kissed another man back since that Hector-Taylor stuff. Brooke and Ridge had signed divorce papers and she was going to confess the next day, not 10 years later. Apples and oranges.

Taylor didn't keep the secret about James for years, she agonized over it for one month and then confessed the truth to Ridge in a letter. She had no way of knowing that Ridge never got the letter since she was presumed dead right after that.

She admitted to Stephanie she knew he never got the letter. They went to therapy together and she never owned up when the doctor asked them to tell each other everything. That was in the dialog between Taylor and Ridge the night she told him about cheating and also making out with Hector in their bedroom.

That sounds like an impossible rewrite - how could Taylor possibly know that? Who would have told her and how would she even have got the idea to ask? As far as she knew, she left a letter in her own home and nobody but Ridge would have seen it. The only one who knew that the letter never reached Ridge was Stephanie (and possibly Jack if Stephanie told him), so how could Taylor "admit" to Stephanie something that Stephanie knew and Taylor didn't?
