Rewriting the history

It's hard to listen to the rewriting of the show's history. Today, Steffy said that Brooke cheated on Ridge with his father and his brother. Since Ridge has two fathers and two brothers, I have no idea who she was talking about. What I do know is that Brooke did not cheat on Ridge with Eric. Nor did she cheat on Ridge with Massimo. Brooke did not cheat of Ridge with Thorne. And, she didn't cheat on Ridge with Nick. However, is this new B&B history? As for her comment about Taylor's coming back from the dead, that was almost 2 decades ago and over the course of these 2 decades, Ridge has said over and over again that Brooke is the love of his life. He even divorced Taylor after her return from the dead, telling her it was Brooke he wanted to be with.

So, the new history of the B&B is that Ridge was devastated by grief when Taylor died and Brooke swooped in and took advantage of Ridge and that is the only reason Bridge was a couple all these years. As well, the new history is that Brooke habitually cheated on Ridge with members of his family and dozens of other men.

And, all of this had to happen in order for Ridge to choose Taylor in a couple of weeks? Well, that's a shame.

She didn't cheat on Ridge with Eric. She cheated on Eric with Ridge. I'm not sure that is better.

Steffy specifically stated that Brooke cheated on Ridge with his father and brother. Never happened. Not unless the show is intent on rewriting history.

It didn't. I stated what happened which still makes the point Steffy was trying to drive home for her father.

Yes, you and I know that Brooke and Ridge had sex while she was married to Eric, although there were extenuating circumstances as to why that happened. But that has nothing to do with my original post. She wasn't talking about Brooke's past indiscretions. Steffy was erroneously misleading viewers by saying that Brooke endlessly cheated on Ridge. By saying that, the writers are having Steffy reshape the show's history and newer viewers would hear those "lies" and believe them to be true.

I agree wholeheartedly that the writers need to respect the show's history. The details were wrong but cheating with a father and son still happened.

But that makes the writing mistake worse and it does change everything IMO, when Ridge was the son that was sleeping with his fathers wife! Especially coming from Steffy who slept with her own FIL and didn’t she also sleep with Liam when married to Wyatt? I don’t think that Brooke is the one who comes out looking worst with context so the writing mistake does change the point being made IMO.

It's never been said that Liam saw Steffy and Wyatt half naked in his bed. Something else she got away with.
Don't know how that is different than what happened to Brooke and Deacon except Brooke didn't know Deacon put her to bed and steffy knew Wyatt was there.
