Bradley Bell’s past comment

Remember a little while back when Bradley Bell kinda addressed the fan base who were complaining about the rehashing, boring, storylines and the very repetitive dialog where the characters say the same lines over and over again endlessly?? He clapped back and said to the fans, “if you don’t like the show, simply stop watching it, I don’t care”… or something to that effect (I don’t remember the exact words he used). Anyways, this just proves that Bradley Bell doesn’t care about the show anymore. If the executive producer and head writer says to viewers, if you don’t like what I’m writing, stop watching it then, instead of taking into account of the complaints and try and do better (like his father did when he wrote the show years ago), then, like I said, it proves Bradley no longer cares about the show and the quality of it. He’s completely checked out and probably doesn’t care one way or the other if CBS renews or cancels the show. Since he feels that way, he should just sell the show to Sony (who owns Y&R) or something like that, and let new people take the reins to bring in freshness.

Well, the show has been renewed through 2024. I would doubt it will be renewed after that because soaps are simply a dying breed.

He made that comment years ago. He still does not care. And people still watch. But more importantly, I think this show is the most talked about soap on message boards and social media. That is all Bell cares about. He is the Kardashian of the soap world. He can shovel garbage and people, myself included, are absorbed with debating it. This is the most watched soap in the world. And, it is utter trash and nonsense, just like reality TV. Does not say very much about us, does it?

I've been thinking the same thing. Doesn't much good about the taste of its viewers. LOL Oh, well, it's a time passer for many. I've given up watching myself unless something really interesting were going to happen.
