Bradley Bell’s past comment

Remember a little while back when Bradley Bell kinda addressed the fan base who were complaining about the rehashing, boring, storylines and the very repetitive dialog where the characters say the same lines over and over again endlessly?? He clapped back and said to the fans, “if you don’t like the show, simply stop watching it, I don’t care”… or something to that effect (I don’t remember the exact words he used). Anyways, this just proves that Bradley Bell doesn’t care about the show anymore. If the executive producer and head writer says to viewers, if you don’t like what I’m writing, stop watching it then, instead of taking into account of the complaints and try and do better (like his father did when he wrote the show years ago), then, like I said, it proves Bradley no longer cares about the show and the quality of it. He’s completely checked out and probably doesn’t care one way or the other if CBS renews or cancels the show. Since he feels that way, he should just sell the show to Sony (who owns Y&R) or something like that, and let new people take the reins to bring in freshness.

Anyone writing for a show feels this way to an extent. You can’t please everyone. There are always going to be people who complain about it. Also viewer’s don’t take into account budgetary restrictions, cast and production issues. There are prob lots of stories he would like to tell but can’t.

I don’t think he is checked out at all. If he didn’t care about fans or the show he wouldn’t allow Casey to do Bold Live. He wouldn’t do location shoots. There is a fashion show planned in Nov etc.

I do think the show would benefit from a new Co-writer maybe a woman or someone younger.
