Maybe I've been watching soaps too long but I just sense that there's more to why they're spending so much time alone together in scenes

But, don't you find all the confident talk and snarrkiness also telling to how soaps usually work? I am probably wrong, but I think there is too much Brooke hate going on right in front of Ridge, he is not saying anything, either way other than "you are wrong about Brooke" or some other benign thing. Taylor and Steffy are being too confident and too calculating and mean spirited. This makes me feel they are heading to a big fall in their hopes and plans. Brooke is not being overly confident about her marriage, she has faith in it, but she is also seeing what they are trying to do. Which leads me to think, it is not going to work for them. Back in the old days we saw this happen with Tridge, when Brooke was confident Ridge wanted to be with her, he would hug her, pet her, kiss her head, kiss her, but in the end, Brooke lost. Taylor was always worried, much like Brooke is now, but she was confident her marriage would prevail.
