hope putting her selfish needs before douglas needs

PLeze, that was NO tantrum.Clearly you are not a Hope fan and that's okay.

Still she is his mother and lives with her and Thomas has only "visited" to take him for short occasions.
So Hope would be and expect to be a little concerned that suddenly Thomas wants more of him, to the fact hat he wants Douglas to actually live with him, no longer being the bonded family that he has now, And Thomas did not give Hope the headsup that she would have liked, all without the little ears perhaps hearing this in other room.

I say they played it just right. Table until later.

I know it's not the same, but.....

When my dog died, before it happened, I took him to the vet, and the vet shook his head and suggested I put the dog to sleep. I got SO angry! And I gathered my dog up. I said "NO! NO way!" and I left. I took him down the street to my mom's house and I cried and cried and cried. And then, me and my brother took him back. We put him down and I held onto him the whole time. So sometimes, you are just shocked by what you hear and need time to process it.

I didn't see a tantrum with Hope, either, but I did throw one on my vet and apologized later.
