Liam Does Have A Little Bit Of Decency (General)

by Drangonfly, Saturday, August 01, 2020, 12:37PM (3 days ago) @ Freya

There is a little decency in him. He doesn't blame Steffy for being on a bike. Only an idiot would do that and he didn't. Steffy is a good person and mother and he knows that. I'm glad he didn't act like a jerk and reprimand her for something she didn't deserve.

The ONLY time Liam really reprimanded Steffy and was angry at her for a good amount of time is when he found out about Bill! I never blamed him for that! He was a little upset when he found out about the gondola and a few other things, but got over it fast and stayed with her! Steffy has never been mad at Liam for more than 2 days either! They always had a respectful relationship! Something that can't be said about Hope and Liam, Brooke and Ridge or Bill and Katie! :-)

He went after her pretty good when he caught her snuggling in her undies with Wyatt. I believe that was the conversation where he told her she commandeered his life. He even threw losing their baby in her face.

And after all the Ivy stuff he told her she was dangerous and people always get hurt around her. He has really said some horrible things to Steffy over the years.

That was only because he misinterpreted the situation and he was hurt so he wanted to hurt her back. He later collapsed in the parking lot and then Quinn kidnapped him. When he came back to Steffy, he said he didn't remember and he didn't care because it didn't matter anyway. That's just a dynamic of their relationship. They discuss everything and yes, they do hurt each other and get angry at each other but they always get over it. Steam are a messy ship just many others. Ridge has been very cruel to Brooke on several occasions. Even dumping her by text on their honeymoon but it doesn't matter in the end.

I remember Liam also being mad at Steffy for leaving him after they lost their first baby. He told her she broke his heart... but then he got over it. The way it's written is that Steffy is impulsive but Liam always understands in the end. He will always understand because loves her.

I don't remember them ever discussing him finding her in bed with Wyatt. There are lots of details like that that the show just ignores.

You won't get any argument from me that Ridge is cruel.

They never discussed it because then Steffy would have explained to him what really happened. When Liam came back from the kidnapping, they simply discussed the fact that he was angry with her and that he said he didn't want to be with her anymore. Liam said he couldn't remember and that it didn't matter anyway. Steffy said that was why she had moved on with Wyatt.

There a lot of things that the show glosses over that characters don't know about. Like Liam ripping up annulment papers of his marriage to Steffy. He let Hope move out without telling her that he was the one who stopped the annulment. She moved out because she was being called a hypocrite for sleeping with a married man while preaching abstinence to others. There are many other examples.

As for Brooke, she's been cruel to a lot of people so... oh, well.

Well, yeah, that's pretty much what I was saying. Steffy cuddling in Liam's bed all night, in her underwear, with his brother was just written away like all those other things you mentioned. My post though, was in response to the statement that they discuss everything. They didn't discuss that.

As for Brooke? I didn't say anything about Brooke.

Brooke *is* cruel and so she deserves whatever Ridge throws at her. Ridge always knew how to deal with her. She keeps coming back for more anyway. The thing with Steffy and Wyatt is irrelevant. It doesn't apply anymore and no one cares. Least of all Liam who said it didn't matter. It was just a plot point to start up the kidnapping storyline.

I do think the stuff about the annulment papers should come out though. Liam let Hope move out without telling her that he was the cause of it. He stayed married to Steffy and therefore Hope continued to be called a liar and a hypocrite for preaching purity when she was anything but. She let her mother talk her into losing her virginity just as a way of competing with Steffy instead of doing it when she was ready. So much for abstinence. In the end they were just empty words. Typical.

Meh, I very rarely defend Brooke. She does absolutely horrible things. I absolutely adore her, she'll always be one of my favorites, but some of the things she does are indefensible. Just like Steffy.

As for the plot points, I don't know if you realize it, but we are actually agreeing. The show does it all the time. Most recently with the fashion showdown. It was some huge thing. Hope was maybe even going to lose her line over it and was pressured to hire as her designer the very person that was stalking her in some sick scheme. Then it just went away.

My point though, was to address the statement that Steffy and Liam always discuss their issues. They did not discuss that one.

Yeah. The fashion showdown was dropped for some reason. I think there was a rewrite somewhere and they fast forwarded to the Thomas/Zoe wedding. Looked like it was all wrapped up too fast and then they moved on to the Brooke/Ridge /Shauna as well as the Sally/Wyatt/Flo storylines.

Yup. Another plot point bites the dust. ;-)
