Steffy is the Old Brooke (General Discussion)

by KBlaze, Tuesday, January 14, 2020, 6:56AM (35 days ago)

If memory serves correctly Steffy has basically done all the things Brooke did when she was younger.

Brooke used to pine and chase Ridge for years. Show up in her lingerie or show up in the sauna steam room and try to seduce him. Conspired with Thorne to keep him from Caroline the original one and worked to keep him from Taylor.. Each time Ridge chose Caroline or Taylor back in the day...

Lest we forget she had an affair with Eric knowing he was the love of her mother's life and Ridge's dad, Steffy has been crucified for Bill. Oh then she cheated on Eric with Ridge..

One key difference is they allowed Brooke to have romances in between and some semblance of happiness during those times without Ridge.
If I remember correctly there was Grant, Dr. Warwick, Nick, Whip, Thorne twice, and Bill..

Even Taylor had opportunities to move on from Ridge when he was with others..

So why can't Steffy at least have a viable new romance..I mean we have plenty of people off the canvas, they can afford a new actor.

This triangle and angst is disgusting, old, and tire retread. I hated it with Brooke and Taylor. I have a feeling in a couple years they'll age the girls and have them fighting over a boy soon enough.

Steffy is like her mother. Just bc they both used sexuality doesn’t make them alike. Steffy used sexuality to fight against the Logans and for revenge plots.

Brooke used hers to get her first love, ex- fiancée and baby daddy back and to fight against physical, verbal abuse against her not to mention she was raped several times which no ones acknowledge except to call them sexual conquests bc a mentally unstable woman or 2mentally unstable ppl were primarily narrating the character of Brooke Logan and acting as though every man she slept with was a conquest.

Steffy is very much like Brooke in her younger days. Recall the bed in the office at FC?

Steffy is NOTHING LIKE BROOKE, she’s using her sexuality for revenge.

Brooke used hers for love and to generate money for the company.

Steffy uses sexuality as a weapon to get a company back and Brooke never did that.

Steffy is doing what kids in school do when they see their teacher give rules in the classroom and how to act.

Except there are kids who misinterpret the teachers actions and motivations and instead of them telling the class about the rules they yell the rules out loud, throw books at kids who don’t follow the rules and they do everything the TEACHER DID NOT DO in class but maybe their are similarities. Like maybe a lot of kids was talking and the teacher drops a heavy book on the desk as oppose to picking up a book and throwing it at a kid.

Well Brooke is like that teacher and Steffy is the ornery kid who thinks she’s acting like the teacher and she’s not.

Just bc Steffy mimic a few of Brooke’s so called moves doesn’t mean they’re alike bc Brooke originally didn’t start off like that but Steffy did.

Plus in the beginning BROOKE LOST MOST OF THE TIME. Who looses most of the time now??? Hope. Steffy wins most of the time like her mother Taylor who won in the beginning most of the time due to lies and plots that was ignored unless it was Brooke appearing to lie or be deceptive.

Bell doesn’t want his audiences to know he’s REWRITING THE SAME STORY PATTERNS so he’s lying saying Steffy and Brooke are the same and it’s not true.

He’s rewriting Brooke with a tinge of Caroline in Hope and he has the Hope character following Brooke and Caroline’s story patterns.

He’s rewriting Brooke,Taylor,a tinge of Old Stephanie in Steffy. That means she’s following their story arcs.

He’s rewriting a starry eyed Innocent looking Flo from how Brooke appeared in the beginning.

He’s rewriting Taylor in Shauna Fulton she even acts like Ridge’s shrink even though she’s just a Vegas Showgirl.

He’s rewriting Old Stephanie in Quinn.

He’s rewriting Sheila in a male version of Thomas and a tinge of Andy the rapist who raped Brooke.

Everyone is free to interpret the show as they see it; isn't that nice that we can? I wouldn't think of calling Bell a liar, but that's just me.

I’m not suggesting that Steffy/Brooke, Hope/Taylor are exact copies. It’s the basic template that is the same.

Steffy and Brooke use sexuality as a tool, in countless scenarios. It’s not always a negative aspect, but the focus is there. Hope and Taylor focus on morals and their integrity.

Great analysis. There’s a difference though for me. Steffy doesn’t have a Stephanie to motivate her. Stephanie bullied Brooke and was physically abusive. She even set her up for rape. Nowadays, college men have gone to jail for letting other men into girl’s rooms, Two, Eric actively pursued Brooke. He offered to be her hero in the wake of rejection by Ridge and bullying by Stephanie. He became her knight in shining armor. It wasn’t a one night stand. They might have survived if Ridge had left her alone. Three, Steffy claims she didn’t loved Bill. She rejected him immediately. Steffy was never harassed by everyone for her relationship with Bill in fact most people defended her. Where I agree though is Brooke’s main problem is Ridge. Every bad move she’s made has been in reaction to hurt from Ridge. My issue with Steffy is that she’s willing to be Liam’s one night stand and stand there and watch him beg Hope to take him back. She doesn’t seem to care. Brooke never stood there and watched Ridge beg some woman to take him back and then welcome him with open arms.
