There is nothing more powerful to me than a redemption story

Thomas redemption story was very believable and he is much more believable than Sheila. She has inflicted years and years of horrible havoc on two soaps. Just ask Sugar

For me, It’s the timing factor regarding Thomas. His history is more consistently recent. For the last four years, the show told us that Beth’s death was horrific to Hope. She had a breakdown. The show told us that Hope was very angry about the CPS call faking her Mom’s voice. The show told us that Hope was very upset when in Feb 2023, Thomas took her to court and forced Douglas to make a decision. Then, six weeks later, Hope was having fantasies about Thomas. In six weeks Hope decided he was a changed person, but I never saw the change because Thomas was still focused on Hope and HFTF felt like the substitute until they could do the real thing. The show could have done a much better job on Thomas’s behalf. Years ago, he tried to kill Rick. He listened to his sister about setting up Hope for seduction, some say rape. He listened to his grandmother about setting up Brooke with the toxic flowers. Thomas has his own history and he’s half the age of Sheila. I believe he’s changed some, but only when he walked away from Hope. I have always wanted better for Thomas and been frustrated that Steffy is the favorite child. As long as he was with Hope I didn’t believe Thomas had changed. He had very little to say. He was in the background. We all have our own biases. I feel that the focus was much more on Hope’s change than on Thomas who has yet to have his own story at least to me.
