Steffy doesn't know how to listen

And she doesn't accept anything other than what she wants to hear.

Hope told her a million times that she agrees with her about Deacon but that she's giving him a little slack because she knows he's grieving. But Steffy just won't shut up about it. She's so rude and has absolutely no ability to empathize with anyone about their legitimate, HUMAN feelings.

She's the same way with Finn. She keeps calling his birth mother a monster when she is well aware that he is having conflicted feelings about her.

No matter how nice Hope is to Steffy, Steffy is going to turn nasty. Steffy kept going on about how could Deacon love Sheila. Hope should have told her that people asked her the same question about how could she love Thomas. How could Ridge love Taylor after she shot Bill in the back, left him for dead and left the country will Ridge sitting in jail taking the blame for it? How could Brooke be expected not to hate Thomas after the CPS call and all of the other things that Thomas had done to her family. Steffy is good at ranting about Hope's family, but overlooking the things that she and her family have done. Steffy had only herself and Taylor to blame for Sheila being out of prison to start with. She didn't have to go along with Bill and Ridge's foolish plan of let's get Sheila.

Or how Finn could love her.
