Wth was the point of Zenduna's one-night-stand????

Everything looks random on this show and not only for the reasons that you pointed out so well.
Xander coming was another pointless storyline: not stirring real troubles for Thope or Thomas. If Thomas confessed the emma death the way it happened, without omitting essential details and Hope still forgave him, then the story had a scope, but like this...no, total pointless.
Ivy coming back looks pointless too aside showing Steffy nastiness and jealousy. Nothing that many don't already know.
Even with the Lope-Leffy stories, the writers don't know where to go. Some days it looks they want to break the cycle having Liam admitting his faults and doing some soul searching, some days he is sitting with Bill and talking like he would end up indifferently with Hope or Steffy. I guess he found nothing in this soul searching.
All seems random, emphatized (like this grand Bill-Poppy passion) and dropped.

I will say I think the Xander thing seemed pointless because people thought it was going to end Thope, but instead, I think it made Finn start thinking. He gave up on pursuing what Xander told him because Steffy had faith in her brother. I think that is why they sent Xander to Finn and not someone else.

I feel like Bell has ideas but then doesn't do a great job of linking them together. So, something seems random, but then, months later, it makes sense.
