Ok,, I remember that plot, but didn't Ridge get mad at Brooke and moved in with Taylor "to get his head together" because she wouldn't fire Rick and send him to Europe because of Phoebe? And Rick and Steffy were together and Brooke supported them. Taylor bragged that there was a clerical error and that Bridge was not married. Taylor proposed to Ridge and this resulted in another scheme by Thomas and Steffy to keep Bridge apart so Tridge could be pronounced Man and Horse.

When Ridge slept with Taylor, he had moved out to Stephanie's because he was upset with Brooke and they were on the verge of fixing the marriage license problem but he was upset because Brooke backed rick and Steffy. He confessed sleeping with Taylor to Brooke and he did that because he and Brooke were in a relationship but in turmoil because of Rick and Steffy. When Ridge confessed, Brooke left him.
