Nobody forced him to leave Hope but Steffy damn sure manipulated him like the opportunist she is

So Thomas isn't capable of making his own decisions? How long should he wait for Hope's decision? One year? Five years? How long is Douglas expected to go on watching his mother not wanting to make an official, legal family with all of them even though she "claims" to love Thomas?
