I am not an expert on US law but what I heard is that if someone enters your house uninvited and you fear for your life you can kill them and it would be self-defense?
After all this is the woman who shot Steffy and her husband?

The laws vary from state to state. California is a "stand your ground" state, so since someone entered Steffy's illegally, she did have the right to kill them. She also warned them, first. So, probably no legal trouble for her, but Finn won't like it one bit. He'll be devastated and probably leave her. And it probably isn't even Sheila. She wouldn't go down that easily. Of course, for a while, everyone will believe it's Sheila. Sugar probably has Steffy stashed somewhere.

That is what I thought but I read the view from KB and it seems she was killed off but they play tricks with the viewers. Who knows

TN said the same thing about Finn, and yet here he is, alive and well. I don't think even BB would kill off an iconic character like Sheila Carter so easily.
