Changing because you finally got the object of your obsession is not changing

That's why I don't believe Thomas has really changed. He is pretending to change to be Hope worthy, not to be a better person regardless of Hope.

I'm in the middle. I think he was changing. I think he was doing the work, and I think he never thought he was going to get Hope. I have to keep remembering that the change is from being an evil ass, not from loving Hope.

But I think realizing he had a shot with Hope derailed him and it became about being worthy of her, obsession revived.

But then, the way he lied about Emma.....IDK. maybe the change is impossible for sociopaths even if he did really try.
