I think Finn would be this way for any situation because he would assess it and probably come to the same conclusion.

The narrative the show presented was that Taylor wasn’t in her right mind.

Then she could have turned herself in and pleaded temporary insanity. With a good lawyer she'd have gotten off. But the way things went, all three of them put their kids at risk by putting Taylor first. Taylor is not only a terrible mother but an awful grandmother too. She always, always puts herself first. And now none of them has any right to complain that Sheila is free because they all had a hand in her being free.
