I have never seen Liam rebuff anyone w/ such peace

I agree that Liam seems resolved about the end of his marriage and really couldn't care less about Tom. I think he does suspect more going on between them because he mentioned to Hope "ending whatever it is with Tom" the other day after Beth's party. I don't think he's said it but he's probably relieved to not have Tom living rent free in his head anymore.

I think that's good for him. It's like a huge weight was lifted off his life. Not to have to think about Tom who put him and his daughter through so much. I hope it stays this way and he fully detaches, focusing only on his daughters
