He shot at ridge and caroline at FC
he seduced ridges daughters to get back at ridge
He slept with taylor
Brooke, and others out there, is any of this better or worse than tom?

It is better than Tom...because he never abused a child, in fact he WAS a child when he shot Grant. And Rick never let a couple believe their daughter was dead, in order to get in the mom's pants. So yes, Rick is better than Thomas. So is everyone on this show except maybe Sheila. Thomas did the unforgiveable thing....and he did it to a woman he claimed to love, that is what made it worse. Not even Ridge forcing Caroline to say Doug was his was worse, because Tom didn't know he HAD a son, let alone that he believed he died, only to find out he was alive and that Ridge knew he was bought and sold to the highest bidder.

Thomas also was going to date rape Hope, but Liam saw them and stopped it from happening. He was going to drug Hope when he married her, to get her to have sex with him. He lied about Brooke during Berrygate and that cost Brooke almost everything...her husband, 25million dollars, almost everything. He also attempted to murder Rick twice, he did chase Emma to her death and lied about it to the cops.....so yeah....Thomas is a lot worse than Rick. And Rick was pretty darn bad. LOL

Yes I agree with all of this. I'm not even disputing that Rick did some bad things in the past, but the thing is, it's been dealt with. Back then, when he was doing it, he got reamed. Now Thomas is center stage and it's time for him to get his reaming. Probably back when Rick was doing what he was doing, somebody was saying but ridge: your son did this this and this.

I don't expect these parents to see their own children as bad and I don't expect them to be quiet just because their children did something in the past either. I don't think anything that Rick has ever done changes the fact that Thomas has done the things he's done and Thomas deserves to be called out for the things that he has done. I don't think character is going to be quiet and not call out another character just because some other character also did something.
