What exactly were the “worse” things Hope forgave Liam for?

Actually put Hope´s ring on Steffy´s finger...he could as well have said: I don´t care whoever I marry, as long as it is a woman. Same at Aspen soon after, he waited for Hope to arrive but Bill locked Hope in a gondola to help Steffy get Liam and Liam, who would have thought, again married not the one he was waiting for but just the one who turned up while Hope had to watch from the gondola.
He probably would have married any woman. :roll
Next wedding, Liam spent the night dancing and partying with Steffy and arrived for the ceremony too late, with dyed hair and a tattoo.
Next try, in Italy, Hope was late (because of Bill´s shenanigans) andLiam made out with Steffy in the hotel, planning to elope with her, but when Hope knocked he put Steffy in the bathroom and married Hope. Again a case of I don´t care who will be my wife. :roll

Hope actually called him out on that and told him that he thinks she and Steffy are interchangeable and that's why he didn't care who he married. Someone posted that scene here a few days ago.

But he was single and Hope had left him. That's on her. Should he have married Steffy? Hell, no. But Hope hurt him first by walking out on him without even knowing what was going on. And she's at fault for that. She knew it because she chased him to Aspen.

I was talking about the Italy wedding. Hope hadn't left him at the time, she was late because of Bill.

Oh, I thought you meant Ajax because you said he didn't care who he married. Sorry.

But he still was single in Italy.......

I used to call what he did in Italy cheating, but over the years, a lot of people have said that it's not cheating if they aren't married. I was told that every single time I opened my mouth to call boyfriends and fiance's cheaters.

Was I right along? Or just when the situation fits? I'm confused now.

I think it's cheating when you're committed. Doesn't matter if you're married, engaged or dating. As long as you're committed, in my opinion it's cheating. Of course it could be argued that Liam read the fake letter from Hope and thought she left him so in his mind it wasn't cheating, but he has a pattern of doing that without first talking to Hope. One would think he'd have learnt his lesson after being wrong about Hope letting him down so many times.

The interchangeable comment from Hope was after the Italy wedding. She's the one who said he didn't care who he married because he was there to marry Hope, then rolled around the bed with Steffy and made her all those promises, then went right back to marrying Hope when she did turn up after locking Steffy in the closet/bathroom.
