Brooke is Terrible Mother

Let's sit aside everything she inflicted on Bridget. Brooke has been an absolutely horrible abysmal mother to Hope. She "accidentally" slept with her high school sweetheart. Despite Hope wanting to wait til marriage and clearly not being ready Brooke pushed her to have sex with Liam to get him away from Steffy. Brooke should've told her that if he wasn't willing to wait and respect Hope's wishes he wasn't worth her time. Instead she basically told her to screw him. After it didn't go well and Hope was upset, Brooke should've been compassionate and apologized for pushing Hope to do something she clearly wasn't ready for. She didn't do that. Instead she dragged her to a sex therapist. Fast-forward to now, and she's still advocating for Hope to back to that triflin' man. It's about time Hope broke away from this woman.

She has made some terrible parenting choices over the years especially when it comes to sex and relationships. A lot of it is because of her own trauma, she has continued to chase and desire a man with a divided heart that is ready to drop her anytime she does something wrong. She is doing what she knows. But overall she is not a terrible mother. She has made mistakes.

That's why these scenes between her and Hope that are going on right now can be interesting, if the writers choose to make it part of the story. Hope is telling Brooke that she doesn't want to be with a man who has a divided heart. And Brooke is dealing with the same thing with Ridge.

And Brooke has dealt with this her entire adult life, beginning with Caroline, knowing Ridge preferred her and married Caroline, than comes Taylor. Ridge chooses Taylor and get married. Ridge pursue Brooke because he knows she will always come back to him and Brooke accepts all his bad behavior, she will never understand Hope's feelings, because Brooke has allowed Ridge to have a divided heart and place her anger at the other woman, as opposed to confronting Ridge. This is the story of Brooke's life.
