I think the Oliver thing was really a mix- up. At least even Ridge believed Brooke and practically laughed it off.
But it ended Hope's relationship with Oliver.
The other thing, Brooke telling Hope to take Steffy's power away by sleeping with Liam though she was not ready was not a good idea.
I remember she even gave Hope some of her own sexy lingerie and I think Hope felt pressured to suddenly become a sexy seductress while she was rather a shy virgin in bed.
I always wondered why Liam who was experienced didn't notice how unrelaxed and tense Hope was.
Though she was telling him she wanted to go through with it he should have stopped and just held her, caressing her, and wait some more.
This scene was difficult to watch...but I wouldn't call Brooke a terrible mother, she probably meant well, but meaning well often is not the same as doing the right thing. :neutral
