Observations about today...

A number of things stood out for me today that were weird. Almost the entire interaction between Hope and Thomas was underscored by creepy music. It was unsettling. Thomas stopped the Thope kiss, looked down at Hope's rings, moved her away from him and stared at Hope. It was because of this that Hope removed her rings. Add to that the off putting sounds that accompanied the removal of her rings. Hope came across as manic/depressive today, almost like she was two different people. Self degrading and irrational and then boom all over Thomas. As much as Hope was talking, Thomas was dictating her actions. It was all so orchestrated. And, what was with the candles. Where did they come from? As well, there are differences in the room Brooke walks into on Thursday and Thomas' bedroom. This could simply be an editing inconsistency, but it's strange that it was so noticeable.

As an aside, poor AN stumbled when she kicked her shoes off. Good for her for keeping the scene going.

Probably because it's a rebound.

The wedding ring thing was, IMO, to show that Thomas has changed. The old Thomas wouldn't have cared if Hope was wearing her rings. He just wanted sex with Hope. He was willing to trade Douglas for it. He even had pills in his nightstand on their wedding night.

It's funny because his holding her hand and staring at the rings gave me a total different vibe. The music. Hope's back and forth. Thomas denying her. It didn't seem a moment of celebration or release or freedom. It was off putting, almost like Thomas hasn't changed at all. Just a weird directing choice if this was supposed to be steamy and sexy.

And, what was with the candles? So funny.
