It’s not a romantic story

I do not see how the show creates some great romance out of what we’ve seen over the past few weeks. I don’t care how much energy people see in Hope and Thomas, I still don’t experience some great romance. In fact, this story seems very tragic. It’s one thing for Hope to become a bad girl who wants to explore her sexuality. It’s another thing for Hope to be deceptive, manipulative, and to throw people off track, she throws others under the bus. If loving Thomas turns Hope into that kind of person, how does it become a romantic entertainment?

Not romantic, but soapy. It's a soap, it needs soapy stories. Between Lope and Thope, both look bad but I'll still settle for Thope. The storyline possibilies and family drama are infinite if they wind up together. There is nothing interesting about Lope fighting for a couple of weeks and reuniting for the tenth time.

If we are getting Bridge, we aren't getting Thope. That would be way too weird.

Why? Bridge were married in 2011/2012 when Thope dated. Bridge were married in 2019 when Thope dated and got married. I am not seeing the correlation. I am not supporting Thope, I like neither character anyway. All I am saying is from a soap fan perspective, Thope is more soapy and gives Bell more storyline possibilities and more drama between the families. It could really get interesting if they get together and the 3 families gang up on them.

Well, here's the correlation for me. When Thope dated in 2011/2012, Thomas was a rebound for Hope. She was still in love with Liam. Thomas was her partner in crime. And it wasn't going anywhere. It was more of a platonic relationship than a romantic relationship. In 2019, she was with Thomas because she wanted to be a mother for Douglas. Again, no romance. She could barely hide her revulsion when Thomas tried to move the relationship to something sexual. So, Bridge were together, but, both times, Thope wasn't really together. However, this time is different by the very nature of the feelings involved. Bridge sitting around the family table with Hope and Thomas talking about how the sex is going and when they are planning to have children just turns my stomach. Can't think of another time on this soap mom and dad and daughter and son were romantically involved at the same time.
