The stongest evidence is the daydreams about the same scene at the same time.
It happened twice, while Thomas is designing and Hope is in Liam's arms. They thought about the same eye contact in San Francisco. In another episode they thought about the hand hold moment.
I have watched soap operas for decades. When 2 characters think about the same moment at the same time, it's always an expression of love. It shows a very profound emotional interconnection.
There are other evidences as you said, but this one is the most obvious.

Meh, Steffy was also thinking about it, but that doesn't mean it's a triangle, does it? With the way these repetitive scripts and repetitive flashbacks work, I'm not putting stock into that. Plenty of characters have flashbacks at the same time and it amounts to nothing. Look at Sheila and Deacon. Look at Taylor and Ridge.
