I know nothing about ratings. What I believe is that Thomas and Hope as a couple are turning off some fans. I believe Bold waited too late and did too much to Thomas to make it happen. It’s not the the fans fault that the writers wrote Thomas to be beyond your everyday character with mental health issues. In addition, 2022 was a train wreck. The intensity of the rage against Brooke almost felt personal. Ironically, I’m oppose to viewers trying to control the narrative. I admit however that I get excited when the show can't see that a plot won’t work. They are the experts. How can any TV show mess up. I really believe that.
