Any prediction about new RJ ?

I see many on social medias suggesting he will be gay. It'd be plausible. We've only seen him with 1 woman (Coco Spectra) and it didn't go further than a few dates. The actor was 17 so it isn't like he was too young to have sex. Honestly, I don't think it's a bad idea. There are only 7 (series regular) women on canvas and 5 of them are blood related. That only leaves Taylor (who is old enough to be his grandmother) and Paris (who is already taken and she is hardly ever on anyway). They don't even need to bring another guy for him, at least not now. The sole "secret" narrative would be interesting. It would give Brooke and Ridge a juicy, innovative storyline.

Actors or characters younger than 18 have never been shown having sex on the show. So I wouldn't read too much into the fact that RJ and Coco's relationship didn't go further than a few dates.
And RJ being gay could only become a juicy storyline if we had any reason to believe that either Brooke or Ridge would have a problem with having a gay son. I doubt Bell would ever think of writing them this way when not even Bill Spencer, who had actually come across as slightly homophobic before, had a problem with learning about his sister being married to a woman almost a decade ago.
I also don't believe that Bell would ever limit a future leading man's love interests to men only. We all know that Bell can't do without triangles, and a triangle with 3 gay men is practically impossible on a show with such a small cast.

I don't believe he is going to be the new super designer who saves his poor innocent sister from his big bad brother Thomas. He's too young for that. RJ was still said to be in college last time Brooke mentionned his name. He may have talents as designer but no way he is already better than Thomas. If one's hoping RJ will save HFTF and finally free Hope from Thomas, I don't think it's conceivable.

He wouldn't even need to be better than Thomas, he would just need to be better than Zende, who's hardly older than him. And even Thorne, who had never been a designer in 30 years, was suddenly good enough to work on one of FC's signature lines after doing a few sketches in Europe. So I don't think it would be a stretch if college graduate RJ came back to LA with a few fresh new ideas to rejuvenate HFTF.

My only wish is he isn't another whiny spoiler brat who can't stop talking about how his parents belong together. He has a right to resent Taylor and her kids and prop his parents, but I hope this won't be his only role.

That was his storyline last time, when he was played by a totally different type of actor. I don't think the show has hired an actor with a much more impressive physical appearance just to waste him on the same storyline of trying to put his parents back together.

Now if I'm realistic, the most likely option is a triangle with Zende and Paris. It will be very predictable. He will come back saying he finished college and wants to spend time with his family and design for Forrester. He will try to bring his parents closer. Paris will walk in on him while he changes his shirt, and declare she has never seen anything more beautiful in her life (same thing she said about Zende, Carter and Thomas) Zende will be left in the cold again. I hope I'm wrong. No Paris triangle and no parent trap, please!

I don't really want him with Paris either, but I could tolerate this triangle as long as it won't be his only storyline. I actually expect his return to shake things up at FC and challenge Thomas and Steffy's sense of entitlement as the only younger Forresters that count.
