Do manipulations absolve a cheater of any blame?
I think it depends on the situation. There is no excuse for what Ridge did to Brooke. The show can’t make up for the cruelty we saw in 2022. Hope and Liam were manipulated but they have also been so immature. They don’t have the patience to find out what’s going on:
