Will Deacon get immunity like Taylor did?

Since Deacon held Sheila up until the police arrived, will Deacon get immunity for harboring a fugitive like Taylor got immunity for attempted murder? It seems like harboring a fugitive would not be as serious of a crime as putting a bullet in someone and leaving them for dead. Since Ridge was telling Deacon good job, was Deacon in on this for a while? They knew Sheila was going to Deacon's apartment and since it took the police a while to get there, they must not have been following her. There is so much that doesn't add up.

I dislike Taylor as much, but in my opinion this is cherry picking. It would be like comparing Sheila blackmailing the hotel manager and Brooke pushing Thomas off the cliff and lying about it. Does that make Sheila a better person than Brooke? Of course no.

Both Taylor and Deacon did horrible things. Both should be in jail. But I don't think comparing 2 random situations is fair. Shooting Bill is probably one of the worst 2-3 things Taylor has done in her life. Harboring a futgtive isn't even in the top-5 of Deacon's worstest crimes. This character has kidnappped and sequestered at least 2 women (Nikki and Amber) and attempted to kill 4 times in cold blood (3 times Quinn and 1 Nikki... I don't count Whip because he only knocked him out, but it would have been second degree murder with some bad luck). He was an active complicit of a serial rapist and would have been complicit of murder if Quinn had pushed Liam like Deacon thought she was going to when he agreed to help her. He has abused alcohol and opioids, driven drugged, sexually harassed women, faked a death, covered up murders, etc.... I won't rehash Deacon's entire past. Harboring Sheila is a very minor fellony in comparison. (For the record he did more than harboring her : he tampered with evidence, obstructed justice and lied to the police...that part shouldn't be minimized)

The only thing that separates these 2 criminals is that one went to jail. Deacon did, Taylor didn't (probably because she has money and no one turned her in). I agree that's not fair. But in terms of criminal behavior, these 2 are more or less even for me. Maybe they will end up together? They were clearly teased last summer but that was dropped. They are both obsessed with someone they can't have. They have so many things in common. They would make a great couple.

I didn't see Brooke pushing Thomas off a cliff. I saw Brooke push Thomas off of Hope.
I did see Taylor shoot Bill in the back, left him to die and let Ridge sit in jail for her crime.
I also saw Quinn deliberately push Deacon off a cliff.
