Bill, ruined

longtimerfan, 12/29/2022, 10:18AM(491 days ago) @QueenSteph- one person liked this

First he tampers with evidence regarding the Vinny accident. Then commits a hit & run. Bullies Liam and lands them both in jail. But still, everyone forgave him and Thomas saved his butt from jail.

Then he professes his undying love first to Brooke and then to Katie. Just minutes apart.

Next he does a 180 regarding Sheila and protects her from jail. After she tried to kill the mother of his granddaughter Kelly.

How is this character now not a joke? Feeling sorry for himself is pathetic. It was Bill who dumped Katie for Brooke. Twice or even more. It was Bill who bullied Liam and almost blew him up in that building. It was Bill who tried to kill a pregnant Amber thinking she was carrying his grandbaby. It was Bill that ruthlessly stole Forrester Creations. It was Bill who tried his best to ruin Liam & Steffy to get Steffy for himself. Yet people forgave him. Bill's pity party is the biggest joke. He's lucky he's not been sent to prison and lost contact with everyone.

Now he thinks Sheila deserves a "second" chance. How many second chances does a person get? Sheila should be around her nintieth chance by now. Last chance she got was a year ago when Taylor invited her for Christmas. It didn't take her long to blow it. First with the champagne label and then double shootings.

Bill is one pathetic & ruined character.

For Vinny he made the wrong decisions, but at the end of the day he didn't do anything illegal. There was nothing to forgive. Vinny committed suicide, therefore there was no evidence to tamper. No hit and run. You can't tamper and cover up a crime you didn't commit. Vinny threw himself under the car. He and Liam were in jail for a crime they didn't commit. Ironically that's the only time major characters spent a significant amount of time behind bars, and that's for something they didn't do... while at the same time other characters have committed major crimes and gotten away with it.

For the rest I agree. He is being ruined. He has been on his best behavior since 2018 but he is a walking disaster since Katie turned him down. Not sure what's Bell's goal behind this. If this is supposed to make us see Carter as "the better man for Katie", and ship Karter, this isn't working at all. Carter also professed his undying love to 4 different women in a very short time. He fell in love with Quinn who is not much better than Sheila. No matter how much they throw Bill under the bus, I still won't like Carter.
Maybe the goal is to whitewash Deacon's actions? Deacon hid Sheila and slept with her... given that he has a parole officer, this would easily land him back in jail if it comes out. So let's throw Bill under the bus even more than Deacon. Not working either. Deacon is still a monster for me, no matter what Bill does. He still hid Sheila in his closet and lied to everyone for months. I will never have an ounce of sympathy for Deacon.

But at the same time nice Bill was kinda boring. This storyline has potential. Maybe Still's past will be revisited. I wasn't a big fan of Still (Bill and Steffy) but anything's better than Sinn for me, so... I can see Steffy seducing Bill if she thinks he has feelings for Sheila. I wonder how Finn would feel about it. I also look forward to seeing Liam and Wyatt's reactions. Maybe it will lead to a Spencer take over. Will Liam kick his father to the curb? Will he and Wyatt try to help him? Or will they just make dumb excuses for him just like Hope does with Deacon. It'll be interesting to see how his relationship with his sons play out. Li's reaction is also going to be interesting. Bill saved her from Sheila, and she thinks he is such a wonderful man. She considered having a relationship with him. Let's see how she reacts if she finds him with Sheila. Like I said, this Bill assassination opens a lot of storyline possibilities.
