Ridge did not tell Taylor he was going to annul his marriage that day. Ridge then doesn't go to Taylor but goes to the mansion. Ridge THEN when prompted to go to Taylor and tell her that they will be together forever, says, "Meh, I'm supposed to play tennis with Douglas..."

What the heck?

Taylor is an afterthought for Ridge. He couldn't make it more obvious that she's just a rebound if he tried.

Which is why I don't think Taylor and Ridge are the end-game. The writers are not treating this like their romance is the main storyline. They are writing her like they wrote Shauna as the clueless side piece.
