Thomas is always leaving out/minimizing things

Once the apple was cut, why did he not put the knife down? He had no reason to keep holding that knife. Let alone raise his voice, point the knife at Brooke and tell her he'll make sure she disappears for good.

It was even worse than that. He didn't just keep holding the knife after the apple was cut, he had already put it down and then he picked it up again in the final scene when the argument got more heated! So no one can tell me that he didn't use it on purpose to threaten Brooke.
