I don’t think Thomas wants to spend time with Hope. If she needs to see Douglas then what is Thomas supposed to say? No don’t come? Hope gave Thomas permission to see his own son. Now Thomas is giving Hope time to see his son.

Hope didn't give Thomas permission. He already had it. He is the one that wasn't making time to see Douglas.
No body is trying to take Douglas away from Thomas like he kept Beth away from Hope and ridge took Douglas from Thomas.
