Well that was strange. Today's show 8/29/22

I think the show made the difference between Ridge and Taylor and Ridge and Brooke stark today. He's happy and relaxed around Taylor and he's going through the motions with Brooke. He clearly loves Brooke but he's happier with Taylor. He's just too cowardly to leave Brooke.

Of course Ridge wasn't exactly happy in today's scenes, but what makes you think this had anything to do with Brooke? It's not like he and Brooke were at a dinner party, talking about all the good things that have happened to their family lately, or in Monaco celebrating the miraculous return of their son-in-law who had been presumed dead. How could he possibly be happy and relaxed during a conversation about Deacon? You seriously think he would have had a smile on his face if Taylor had been the one standing next to him in these scenes instead of Brooke or that he would have been more touchy-feely with her while listening to news about Deacon than just putting his arm around her the way he did it with Brooke? I sure don't.
