Maybe he was just spending the evening. He left with Hope. He wasn’t there when Thomas was hallucinating. But he was definitely spending time with his father outside the cabin. It was a silly thing to put in Hope’s mouth that Thomas should see his son only in the cabin and making this sleep over a huge thing

That's not accurate. Hope even said today that they have sleepovers and weekends together. It's been going on.
