I'm a Hope and Brooke and Liam fan, but as long as Thomas is acting nicely, Douglas should live with him if he wants to and if he treats the little boy right. Hope should be able to visit and take Douglas places, like Thomas does now.

That is all predicated on the fact that Thomas really wants Douglas with him and isn't doing this simply because manipulative Taylor and Steffy are forcing him into it, which those two witches may be.

Thomas is the one who brought up custody of Douglas to Hope before talking to Taylor and Steffy. Of course they will support him just like Brooke, Deacon and wimpy Liam will support Hope. Deacon has already given a suggestion of threatening Thomas by offering to have a talk with him.

Taylor brought up Douglas and wanting Thomas to take back Douglas months ago.

Thomas was looking for a house for himself and Douglas to live in before Taylor returned. Douglas even asked Paris if she would come and live with them when they got a house.

You mentioned that Thomas brought up custody of Douglas before talking to Taylor and I was pointing out that that conversation had already happened between Thomas and Taylor. Taylor brought up Douglas and the weird situation of Douglas living with Hope and Taylor was pushing Thomas to take back Douglas. So, IMO, this has been an ongoing conversation between mom and son.

Absolutely. She was the catalyst.

If that were true Thomas wouldn't have bothered looking for a house months before Taylor's return. He would have just kept the apartment.

He gave up his apartment because of his word to Paris. So he was looking for a house cuz he needed his own place..at the time, he never mentioned that his intention for getting a house was so he can have Douglas live with him permanently.

Looking for a house took place before Paris. He was in the process of buying a house, then the deal fell through right after Paris signed the papers to take over his apartment.

Still doesn't change the fact that he never mentioned anything about Douglas living with him full time until now..until his mother came back and planted the seed about "biology".

Thomas sure looked like he was headed in that direction last fall when he was house hunting and had a deal for one that fell through in the last minute.He must have said something to Douglas because he asked Thomas if Paris could live with them after they got the house. I don't care if he hadn't said anything to Hope yet. He may have been waiting to secure the house first. But Hope had to be really stupid to think that Thomas would never want primary custody of his son again.

But it was never shown on screen in an actual dialogue from Thomas back then..that his plan of getting the house was to have Douglas live with him permanently. He never said to Hope, to his dad, to Steffy or anyone that was his intentions..until his stupid mother showed back up in LA.

It was never said that he would live with Hope permanently either. Hope was stupid if she thought that.

She has legal rights to him just like Thomas. And there's no reason for Hope to believe that he won't live with her for a few more years either given the fact Thomas has been praising Hope on being such a great mother to Douglas, and he's been perfectly fine with no issues with Douglas' living arrangement for so long..knowing Douglas has been happy and thriving in a loving home.

What's a few more years? Two? Five? When he leaves for college? The longer he is with her the harder it will be for her to let him go live with Thomas.. Both things can be true. Thomas can praise her for being a great mom and still want to have his son live with him. She chose this path knowing that Thomas would retain his legal rights as his parent and this could happen. I know her original plan was to get full custody and push Thomas out but it didn't work out that way so she needs to adjust. Especially if Douglas wants to live with his Dad now.

Exactly right. Is this the big Lope s/l that Bell talked about? Boring just like Lope. I want Thomas to get his son and a new woman. Now that would be a good s/l.

I'm sick of Lope already and the s/l is just beginning. Deacon is suddenly the expert on good parenting. What a joke. lol I'm ready for Thomas to have his own s/l too. Get Douglas back and let him move away from them.

Exactly right And you have Deacon sitting next to Brooke and both of them bad mouthing Thomas. If Ridge could hear them now.

I'm pretty sure that Brooke has told Ridge exactly how she feels about Thomas.

I’m pretty sure Ridge would not like to hear Brooke badmouthing Thomas with Deacon right there of all people. Plus Brooke and Thomas have been getting along really good lately.
