With the dovetailing stories of Ridge caught between Brooke and Taylor and Thomas battling Hope for custody of Douglas, it feels like B&B is getting back to Logans vs Forresters. That's always been the rivalry at the root of the show so it's finally nice to get back to that. If Steffy's going to fill her grandmother's role leading the Forresters, that's even better. Sides will be taken, battle lines drawn. It's going to be good TV. I'm just glad it's not a rehash of the Logans trying to take over FC again.

For all her fuss and bluster, Steffy is really a very weak person. She could never begin to fill Stephanie's shoes. And Ridge and Brooke have been married so many times and been together for so many years, it would be impossible to think of them as anything but a couple, even if they were married to other people. The show can pit the Forresters against the Logans, but it has to do so with the younger Marone-Forresters and the younger Logans. Steffy and Taylor and Thomas are very weak and Brooke and Ridge have been established as BB's "couple" even if they do separate or even divorce for a time.
