She knew the trouble making Deacon. She doesn't know the "I want to turn my life around" Deacon that we see now. Plus, Deacon is seriously HOT. I can see Taylor wanting to help, and then can't help herself from falling in love. Genuinly. Taylor seldom plots, fakes and play games. She's not a schemer. She's much more genuine. And if Deacon is like a lost puppy dog, she will absolutely fall in love.

Taylor isn't smart enough to plot, scheme, fake, or play games. She just gets others to do her dirty work for her. At first, it was Stephanie, now it's her bratty kids.

Deacon might be temporarily infatuated and also upset that Brooke is not responding to him romantically after he declared his love for her, but he won't fall in love with Taylor. Not long term. And even if he would, once again, Taylor would be happy being second choice to one of Brooke's rejects. She always is.
