hope claims she was joking about her mom being a home wrecker but hope was lying about making a joke because no kids ever jokes about their parent like that

Hope acknowledges her parents mistakes. Something that Steffy and Thomas still didn't learn to do when it comes to their parents. They believe in an absolute lie that they try to "sell" to everyone around them.
