Taylor compliments Ridge all the time. Even when he rejects her she’s holds him up. Can anyone recall a time when Taylor confronts Ridge about anything other than Brooke? Everyday she tells him he’s a good man. Shauna did the same thing. Caroline Spencer was enamored by him when she first became attracted to him. He seems to be drawn to daily compliments about his greatness. How does Brooke compliment Ridge? She tells him she loves him. She thinks he’s talented but I don’t recall her complimenting him over and over again.

When I saw this title of the post, I was thinking Ridge was sitting on the toilet. LOL. IA that he never ever gets called out for all the lowlife, cruddy things he does, and the bad things he has done is up in the 100's by now.

Even right now, he is up on his "high throne" even though he has yet to tell his wife he has been making out with his stand-by gal and rolling on a bed with her and feeling her up all the time. He is also keeping a secret from his wife, that is actually about her, and if she did that to him, he would be packing his bags and castigating her for going behind his back. Ridge is nothing if not consistent in his hypocrisy and keeping Brooke "down" in order to control her. He does not do that to anyone else. With Taylor he builds her up to keep her in control. I think Ridge knows which woman has the stronger personality and will, so he works double time to keep that woman feeling low. The weak one he knows all he has to do is throw a few bones of praise and a few feels up her shirt, and she is his for life. LOL

Come to think of it he did the same stuff to Caroline II that he does to Brooke. He kept her in control by keeping her down, and throwing in her face any mistakes she made. It worked. Only he went too far with young Caroline, she lost her ability to even function and became depressed. Caroline was also another strong woman like Brooke, than Ridge broke. He has yet to break Brooke, but that may be because she has dealt with him a long time.
