I will concede that Ridge was the one who ran to Taylor and told her that he wanted "to come home". But let's also remember this: Ridge was the one who told Taylor that Bill raped their daughter after he learned of their night together and look at what that led to. Bill was left to die in his own home after being shot by Taylor over a blatant lie -- and had it not been for Katie, he would have died. Even though Liam and Bill were estranged at that time, he would have been just as devastated as Wyatt and Will had Bill died. It's ironic then that Taylor fled and left Ridge to take the fall for that shooting. Ridge has a really bad habit of saying things that aren't true or that he doesn't mean, and then skating free when everything hits the fan because of what he's said.
