Not for me. The show has had to do way too much throwing under the bus. I literally dislike every character on this show but Brooke, Eric, and Donna. I do not feel sorry for Thomas or for Hope. If anything, the show proved how toxic the relationship is.

It's making me respect Thomas. That's about it. And let me just mark for the record that the respect it completely situational. I'm never gonna be onboard with Thope, though, if that's what you mean. Never ever ever.

This feels just like a year ago when he took Douglas to Eric’s or forced Doug to decide where he wants to live.

Not to me. Not at all. Douglas is Thomas' child and if he moves, he can take the child. Just like Steffy took Kelly and Hayes from Liam and Finn when she went to Paris more than once. No different.

I didn’t have a sense that Steffy was trying to punish anybody when she ran away. She was trying to save her children from Sheila she claimed. My problem with Thomas is that it felt like he was trying to punish Hope for not accepting his proposal.

Can you please reference the dialog that proves he's doing this to punish her?

I only heard one sentence from him. "I'm leaving, and I'm taking Douglas with me." I'm going to wait and see if hope is crying because Thomas won't let her talk to Douglas on the phone or have video calls and things like that. Then I for one will make my own personal on whether or not he's trying to be nefarious.

But from the history I've seen, biological parents usually take their kids. Even Caroline took Douglas to new york. Was at the punish thomas? I'm just going to wait and see on that one.
